PLANTATION HISTORY (Site clearance to present activities)

On this day we brought our children to the plantation. They must look and see the site.

After 3-years I can see the agarwood trees bear the fruit. All years waiting is so worth. My husband was so happy..and we found them on ground. The fruit is green as guava fruit but smaller like wild tomatos (its small). The nut has 1 seed. I think so, coz I have just got one that opened its shell and I saw 1 seed. Is it?. Wait and see.
The agarwood trees grow . the leaves dropped due to dry season. and replaced back its new leaves.
This time we put fertilizers. sure they will grow more and fatty...hope so..after rain comming back..
The grass is keept to be shorter and sometimes non. Its good to have some more grass, but my eyes like to c my agarwood area is non-bushy, coz my brother's land at right is taken good care of his plantation. no grass at all but with old fruit trees. so okalylaa..kalau x mine is teruk juge..
The good thing about this agarwood tree I planted is, its is strong to fungus attack. The black fungus lives under the leaves. It can block the stomata, but seems to be very strong and survive. I can't afford to get them away. coz its a lot. But the younger leaves on the top gives them lives. Very strong species.
another good thing about this agarwood is...the trunk is healthy..seems no fungus or small animal get into it.
on the tree..I can see there ants living on the trees..It makes this tree safe from small parasits (small animals)
Padding up the tree ground with more soils make them to receives more air.

need to understand the trees...
have to make sure the pokok renek not climbing the gaharu ..and the most important is ..we won't come back to do the belaian in this plantation coz Ramadhan is comming and Hari Raya is comming. Hope by this visit could help the Gaharu to survive during our absense...

Time for clearance..banyak pokok renek..kena racun habis..so far so good...
time for cantas mencantas..x eh beri orang buat kerja..habis pokok ku nanti..ehem..ehem..
maklumlah..kefasian ku x leh..
March 2010: The plantation looks very clean from ulan-ulan and they grow freely...
Feb- March 2010: Dry season...wou..bad...its dry
Feb 2010 : start to maintain closely by help from Bakar...ask him to look after the small ulan-ulan
Sept 2009 - Jan 2010: too many things to catch up as I am almost travelling every week....puasa and hari ..uhh..hari raya ada 2 kali..then school starts..
Things got frustrated when there was big storm event in december 2009. My tree collapsed and some kissed ground.
The small ulan-ulan get crawling to my trees and pitty to the trees....bowing almost 4 weeks to some stages.
Ogos 2009 : Banyak ulan naik dan wat camna...puasa pun puasa laa...kerja-kerja berjalan seperti jadual
July 2009 : Meneruskan kerja-kerja pembersihan berjadual
June 2009 : Memotong rumput dan membersihkan kawasan2 banyak ulan
Febuary 2009: Trim semua pokok supaya tinggal batang pokok sahaja.tetapi tinggalkan daun di pokok dan pucuk 2 dahan
January 2009 : Membaja. Musim kemarau berlaku selepas chinese new year
June 2008 : Plantation started
25 May 2008 : Young Agarwood brought into the Plantation Ground
April 2008 : Site Clearance
March 2008 : Ground Breaking
